Welcome to Millennium Coaching
Hello and welcome! My name is Kellan Halleck, and I'm a Certified Holistic Health & Wellness Coach. I believe the foundation of great coaching is the development of a strong partnership that fosters exploration, growth and self-determination in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. I strive to bring compassion and an open-minded, creative perspective to every session. My approach to wellness coaching is grounded in mindfulness and centered by 20 years of dedicated yoga and meditation practice. I believe deeply in the process of holistic health and wellness coaching to actualize full potential, and I've studied the scientific theories that enable and sustain such coaching: from behaviorism to humanistic and positive psychology, as well as the tenets of emotional and resilience intelligence, growth vs. fixed mindset and flow.

Benefits of Mindfulness-Based Coaching
How might one define mindfulness? Jon Kabat-Zinn, who is recognized for bringing mindfulness to western science and studying its wellness benefits, defines mindfulness as "the practice of paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment and nonjudgmentally". To expand the definition, we could say that mindful awareness means paying attention on purpose and without judgment, inhabiting the present moment with curiosity, a kind heart, and an open mind. By cultivating this awareness with a holistic wellness coach it is possible to become more awake to our life as a whole and to our experience in the day-to-day. We become more alert to the real-time information coming to us from a deeper connection with the body. This information can open new avenues for change in our lives. Instead of being tuned-out, distracted, or on auto-pilot, we can begin to make decisions informed by what is most important to us. We can then begin to connect action with this new insight, finding flexibility and resilience that support goals. Habitual patterns of behavior can be shed. This new way of living can then lead to success and fulfillment in all areas of life. What makes someone successful? Self-control, which requires a steady focus to maintain attention and control the emotions. Mindfulness is the foundation for all learning - all success.

My holistic health all-in-one approach builds mindful awareness into each coaching session through the use of multiple strategies. Each session begins with 15-minutes of guided relaxation, which serves to promote a calmer and more attuned perspective from which to begin. In later sessions, the guided relaxation can
be personalized to bring focus and awareness to a particular area of interest in your life.
Additionally, throughout the coaching, we co-create an environment that
supports the seven essential attitudes for mindfulness practice
as set forth by Dr. Kabat-Zinn, which are:
